Anamorphic lenses are rarely used within stock footage libraries due to their high purchase price and rental costs, and their overly-stylized look.

But for filmmakers desiring a cinematic feel to their videos, this style of glass provides a very unique look such as:

  • Ultra Wide Aspect Ratio (approximately 2.4:1)
  • Shallow Depth of Field
  • Dramatic Horizontal Lens Flares
  • Oval Bokeh
  • Soft Edges
  • Vibrant Color

Though spherical lenses are the most widely-popular lenses for most applications, anamorphics are super fun to work with and provide some amazing shots when you learn how to use them correctly.

Enjoy!
