6 years ago, I had a dream and began working on a wild idea: Filmpac.

I had been a freelance videographer/editor for a while and sensed that the industry was missing something. Something I felt like I could execute: A high quality AND affordable stock footage website.

Truth be told, I just wanted to design stuff and make cool videos. I didn’t want to manage people, think about team culture and hiring practices, administrative logistics, and all the other stuff that goes along with running a business. I especially did not want to think about marketing, social media, and I most certainly did not want to be the face of Filmpac.

Yet here we are.

Many of you probably know Gary Vee – who for years has been preaching about building personal brands and creating content for social media, being vulnerable, and being authentic.

Well, in this next season, we’re going to be transparent, vulnerable, and authentic as we document the highs, lows, and lessons learned – not just of the past 6 years, but of the next 6 years and beyond.

My hope is that through sharing our experiences, behind-the-scenes, and lessons learned, that we can inspire this generation of filmmakers to pursue their dreams, pursue excellence in their craft, and make meaningful connections with this filmmaking community.

I guess that was my dream in the first place.
